 People:         Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the    

                         majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.

    Leader:           Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.

    People:           Wealth and power come from you; you are the ruler of all things.

   Leader:            In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.

People:         Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

  The Prayer of Confession     (unison)

 Holy and merciful God, in your presence we confess our sinfulness, our shortcomings, and our offences against you. You alone know how often we have sinned in wandering from your ways, in wasting your gifts, in forgetting your love. Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we are ashamed and sorry for all we have done to displease you. Forgive our sins, and help us to live in your light and walk in your ways, for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon

 The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds. The Lord upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down.

 Gracious God, we give our best, lest in gaining the world we lose life itself. As a covenant people, we seek to witness to your will and way. Help us to know more clearly what you would have us do with the wealth entrusted to our care. As we contribute to the needs of your people, we present   ourselves as living sacrifices.
